After several requests for a better sight system for the Sphinx SDP Compact pistols from customers. We finally took action and created a kit that not only makes the Sphinx SDP Compact a better combat pistol but now a contender for competition shooting. Unlike other sight options on the market, our kit comes from the styling and function of the original 3000 series look and quality. 

This sight works with the original Sphinx SDP Compact series rear sight and some of the sphinx 3000 series as well (low sights) and uses some of the brightest Red Fiber on the market that we could find.  Sights are made of 4140 steel, then heat treated to insure durability, MELONITE finished and then we install a .060" fiber into them 100% USA made right here in Missouri.

***We recommend all Sight Systems be installed by a gunsmith, our front sight is machine tight to fit properly like an original sight. To install our sight may require hand fitting on Cerakoted models as the base of the sight may need to be adjusted .001 - .002"" if excessively tight, this can be done on a flat surface with sandpaper in a cross pattern or a fine file (diamond file preferred). Do this only if necessary, most will go in with some oil and/or being pressed with a press, if driven with plastic block and mallet do so lightly, we do not recommend doing it this way. (Do not force or use a hammer directly on the sight or hit the sight on the blade side facing the user as you break the sight or hammer on the gun or any use punches metal, brass or otherwise hard surfaces.) We do not warranty sights, against breakage caused by improper installation.

    So, far so good. This optic is very easy to pickup, the fit seemingly perfect. Time will verify just how good this item is.

    Sphinx SDP fiber optic front sight

    Nice fit and finish, installation was straight forward. You will need to apply heat to the factory front sight screw to break the loctite bond. Nice bright fiber optic rod, it improves the sight picture greatly over the factory front sight. Money well spent in my opinion.
